From December 21 to 25, National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS) team members, UNICEF Serbia team members and trainer Marija Pantelić, worked with 20 members of the UNICEF Serbia Youth Committee.

Through the Training on Public Advocacy and Active Youth Participation which lasted for five days, they learned more about the concepts of youth policy and active youth participation and got acquainted with key actors in this field. They also learned more about the concept of advocacy and its actors, as well as opportunities to take an active part in it and thus represent the needs of young people at the local and national levels.

On Tuesday, December 22, a press conference was held at the Media Center on the occasion of the presentation of the research "Youth and Entrepreneurship" conducted through the EU project “OUR COMMUNITY, OUR FUTURE – Toward greater cooperation and youth employability” project for a better understanding of youth unemployment.

About 40 young people - representatives of institutions, non-governmental organizations, as well as young entrepreneurs from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Kragujevac - participated in this event, which took form in an interesting way. Working in four work groups based on the districts they come from, the participants jointly defined the problems and difficulties that young people face when it comes to self-employment and entrepreneurship and created specific recommendations to improve the position of young people in entrepreneurship.

The National youth council of Serbia organized the Dialogue between young people and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Vanja Udovičić, within the project Youth has the priority with the support of the Ministry for Youth and Sports and within the project Young Media - Media for and with young people, in cooperation with DW Academy and with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation.

The National Youth Council of Serbian in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia in 2020 and in the conditions of necessary physical distance carried out activities aimed at educating young people about hate crimes within the project Be Aware, Dedicate Yourself - Youth Against Hate Crimes.

The National youth council of Serbia (KOMS) has successfully organized the first Dialogue with young deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. The dialogue was held on November 18 at 6 pm in the premises of the Center for Cultural Decontamination in a hybrid mode - young people had the opportunity to send questions to MPs via online forms, and the MPs gave answers in a live broadcast, which viewers had the opportunity to follow on the Facebook and YouTube channels of KOMS.

From August 24 to September 20, 2020, via Zoom platform, the National Youth Council of Serbia, together with the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized the first digital youth exchange and training My world depends on us for over 20 young people from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
