From July 22 to 24, 2024, Sarajevo hosted the second Youth MeetUp, organized in collaboration with RYCO and the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria. This event’s objective was to deepen understanding and engagement on key issues concerning youth in the region.

The meet-up focused on several crucial areas, including the significance of the Youth, Peace, and Security agenda, the integration of youth perspectives into policymaking, increasing their involvement in decision-making processes, and the role of the diaspora in the socio-economic development of the Western Balkans.

Representatives from RYCO, KOMS, regional youth umbrella organizations, academia, and independent researchers contributed to a vibrant and productive exchange of ideas, laying the groundwork for future collaboration and initiatives aimed at empowering youth in the Western Balkans. Participants also had the chance to learn about successful practices implemented in the region and draw insights from them.

The event fostered connections among all participants with the goal of enhancing the lives of young people in the region.
