Online study visit to Belgrade on Social Entrepreneurship held!

We welcomed our partners virtually in an online Study visit to Belgrade!

An online study visit to Belgrade was held on the 3rd and the 4th of October, focusing on the subject of Social Entrepreneurship.

This was the third visit in a row which was a part of the ’Social Entrepreneurship for the Future of Youth Work’ Erasmus+ project implemented in cooperation with our partners form Spain, Portugal, Poland and Italy.

Thanks to Zorana Milovanović, project manager of the Assosiation Coalition for Solidarity Economy Development, representatives of youth organizations from the forementioned countries were introduced to the normative framework of Social Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Serbia.

Moreover, successful social entrepreneurs from Serbia presented their associations to the participants of the online study visit, introduced them to the work they do, their motivation and values. The organizations in question are Somborske šnajderke (Sombor seamstresses) who work on economic and labor reintegration of women and children affected by domestic violence and the KidHub association which provides a place for the realization of children’s ideas and raises awareness of environmental and social challenges. Furthermore, White Lemur – Soma Eco company has also presented their work to the participants, as the organization which contributes to environmental protection by waste management and removing styrofoam from single use.

During the activities of the Study visit, young representatives of our partnering organizations discussed about the topic of social entrepreneurship and compared experiences from their countries to the situation in Serbia. The participants have reflected on positive aspects of social entrepreneurship, the challenges they face, as well as on the advancement opportunities.

The Study visit was organized as a part of the Erasmus + project “Social Entrepreneurship for the Future of Youth Work”, funded by the European Union.
