After the jubilee 10th KOMS Assembly in July, the Extraordinary Assembly of the National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS) was held for the first time last weekend.
Delegates of member organizations and members of KOMS bodies gathered in Belgrade, at the Faculty of Political Sciences, to elect new members of the body – the president of the Management Board and the member of the Supervisory Board. Part of the Assembly was devoted to the admission of new members to associate membership, as well as the transition of members from associate to full membership.
The Extraordinary Assembly was opened by determining the quorum, electing the recorder and adopting the Agenda. Minutes from the July 10th Assembly of the Koms were adopted, after which the presentation of the candidates, as well as the space for discussion and asking questions, was opened.
The Association of Hungarian Students of Vojvodina presented itself as a candidate for membership of KOMS, while the Organization for Career Development and Youth Entrepreneurship “Connecting” presented its request for full membership.
After discussion and voting, it was concluded that KOMS is richer for another new member organization – the Union of Hungarian Students of Vojvodina!
Gordana Adamov, from the Bečej youth association, presented her candidacy for the new president of the Board of Directors, while Dražen Vidaković presented himself as a candidate for the member of the Supervisory Board.
After the election process, it was established that Gordana Adamov is the new president of the Board of Directors of the National Youth Council of Serbia!
The member of the Supervisory Board was not voted, after which the election process was repeated, and Tamara Todorović from the Organization for Career Development and Youth Entrepreneurship “Connecting” was elected as a new member of the Supervisory Board.
The first Extraordinary KOMS Assembly is hereby concluded.
As always, the Assembly was of great importance for all those present, as well as for the further functioning of the National Youth Council of Serbia!
