KOMS, in partnership with the Local Office of the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation (RYCO) in Serbia, with the support of the French Embassy in Serbia and the assistance of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM), held five events called Meet Your Representatives from May to September. You (ask) yourself !.
National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS) in partnership with the Local Office of the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation (RYCO) in Serbia, with the support of the French Embassy in Serbia and the assistance of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM), held five local events within the project “Meet your representatives in Serbia. You (are) ask(ed)!”.
In partnership with the RYCO Local Branch Office in Serbia, KOMS visited Novi Pazar, Prokuplje, Bačka Palanka, Inđija and Loznica and engaged with youth as well as relevant stakeholders and decision-makers at the local level.
Young people from these towns had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of KOMS and RYCO and to be informed about the programs and projects implemented by KOMS and RYCO.
The series of events that took place in these cities was an opportunity for young people to meet the youth representatives of both organizations (KOMS and RYCO), but also to map together the position and needs of young people at the local level in their cities.
Who are the youth representatives?
Youth representatives are members of KOMS Governing Board and Youth Representative of Serbia in the RYCO Governing Board. They participate in making important decisions for young people both in Serbia and abroad, together with representatives of relevant organizations and institutions.
Series of events Meet your representatives in Serbia. You (are) ask(ed)! it was important for several reasons: for mapping needs and position of young people from different towns, to ensure that youth representatives represent the youth and their voice in the best possible way. Also, young people who attended the events were introduced to important documents and institutions at the national and regional level.
Project Meet your representatives in Serbia. You (are) ask(ed)! is conducted by the National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS) in partnership with the Local Office of the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation (RYCO) in Serbia, with the support of the French Embassy in Serbia and the assistance of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM).
The event was supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the project “Young people have an advantage 2.0”. The project “Youth has an advantage 2.0” is implemented by the National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS), and funded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia.
