Today, after several months of research, a large hybrid round table “Young people and institutions for better conditions in entrepreneurship” was held successfully.
About 40 young people – representatives of institutions, non-governmental organizations, as well as young entrepreneurs from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Kragujevac – participated in this event, which took form in an interesting way. Working in four work groups based on the districts they come from, the participants jointly defined the problems and difficulties that young people face when it comes to self-employment and entrepreneurship and created specific recommendations to improve the position of young people in entrepreneurship.
At the beginning, Stefan Đorđević addressed the viewers and participants live from the studio on behalf of KOMS, as well as Snezana Klašnja on behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, via Zoom.
While the work groups were in progress, researcher Miloš Stančić presented the research “Youth and Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Serbia” and the 15 recommendations that emerged from it, while Milica Borjanić from KOMS and Nevena Nikolić from the Belgrade Center for Human Rights presented this important EU project and its goals.
After the presentation of the research, a panel discussion on the existing conditions for young entrepreneurs in Serbia was held, with Vladimir Stanković, a young entrepreneur and expert in mentoring the founders of small businesses, Nemanja Glavinić from Youth Achievement in Serbia, and Dragana Jovčić, co-founder and CEO of Do-It-Yourself, participating.
In the final part, the facilitators of the working groups from the four cities presented the conclusions that were crafted with the participants of the work groups.
The research “Youth and Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Serbia” will be available from December 22 in digital format on the website of the National youth council of Serbia.
On Tuesday, December 22, at 1 pm, the press conference on the occasion of the presentation of the research can be viewed live via the Media Center’s Web portal, YouTube channel and the Media Center’s Facebook page:
